Howard Cohen Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 This weekend is the Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park featuring some amazing racing cars! Today the teams set up their work areas and got some test time on the track. Here are my photos from Day 1... I will be adding more photos every day this weekend, so check back http://public.fotki.com/HowardCohen/mobile-1-sportscar-/
afx Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Love seeing race cars up close and in detail. Thank you for posting this.
waynehulsey Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Thanks for posting. Wonder which is our chance of seeing a kit of one of those? slim or fat?
Howard Cohen Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) There is the Revell Corvette, a good start; you can modify a Camaro and Mustang, not much chance of the rest Maybe in resin? Edited July 9, 2017 by Howard Cohen
Jhedir6 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Thanks for posting. Wonder which is our chance of seeing a kit of one of those? slim or fat?Well as Howard said, you can get the Revell C7R. As for the Mustang you'd have to do a conversion from the Revell snapper. As for the Prototype, maybe Patto's Place will do a slot body...they've got the last gen of DP car, but not the new Cadillac's yet. And as for the BMW M6....there's one coming, Platz has done one, but it was suppose to have been out last October, and has been pushed back monthly since. It's now suppose to be this month....but I've stopped holding my breathe. I've had mine on pre-order since they were announced last August. Thanks for posting pics Howard. I really wanted to go this year, but everyone's away on holidays and I'm covering shifts all weekend. Oh well, maybe next year.David
waynehulsey Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 The prototypes were what I was really thinking of.
Howard Cohen Posted July 11, 2017 Author Posted July 11, 2017 Here is a photo of a prototype chassis, almost naked...does it remind you of any car?
