Jim Blackwood Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Hi Guys! I just stumbled on this site.I don't do much building anymore,my arthritis makes it very difficult.I'm 63 and getting old is tuff, but it sure beats the alternative. There are some beautiful builds on this site and I'm looking forward to seeing more.Maybe I'll get the bug again and try building a car when my darn joints aren't killin me! Jim

retired & glad Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I know the feeling about getting old. I'm a old fart. I belong to a band that I play the steel guitar with and our name is Eddie and the Old Farts. You are not alone here. I'm 72 and still try to do things I used to could when younger but now with vision, shaky hands, memory and old looks, I can't do some I used to be able to do.Have a good time building and let us see something soon.Richard
Super28 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) Hey Jim, I'm 68 and had a bad problem with the joints too. I take 2 TriFlex tablets a day from GNC. Made a big difference. It has gluosamine and chondroitin for joint healthIt's expensive at GNC, about $60.00 a bottle so I get mine at the supermarket now, in the vitamin section, for $26.00 a bottle.Try it out and see if it helps Terry Edited July 30, 2017 by Super28
Draggon Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Welcome Jim. We're the same age. What I've found is that I can get into a "zen" mode and become really absorbed in a build, and I forget about the aches and pains. I've got a serious chronic illness, so I'm not just blowing smoke. Glad you're here
