I sold off my un-built Maverick, as I have a pretty clean built-up that I have disassembled. I am not sure if I am going to do it as a Grabber of a base Maverick. I have some Keith Marks' Grabber decals, as well as a set of Sport Sprint decals. I would like to do a '70 Ford/Mercury Showroom Display. I have enough kits to do a reasonable job.

Hi David, I have one of these promos also, so I'll be following along.  Can you share how it came apart as it's not obvious to me looking at mine?

That one would look great with the green plastic polished. It's very close to a real color called Anti-Establish Mint (a friend of mine had one). I know you just got some good plastic polish. Put it to work!

Your black AMX would also look awesome with the plastic polished. I just did a '71 Cuda that way and it looks amazing.

They're both already polished

Cool! Good to know. B) You can really "amaze your friends" as they say with nicely polished raw plastic.

you have to carefully pry the front of the chassis out. Has tabs that pop in. When I got it apart , it was marked 1969 1/2 maverick

That will look great, and that is a really clean

promo you have there. Every time I see one I

want it's so beat up that I don't bother even

thinking about spending the big jingle $$ on it!!

Some Keystone classics would look real nice

on a car with those body lines!!

My first car was a '72 Maverick (4-door, straight 6) not nearly as cool as what you are building.

Thanks so much for the explanation.  I'll take a shot at getting it apart tonight.

did you get it open !?

But the back won't let go.

you have to kinda pull dorward cause the rear has tabs aldo that snap into the rear

It should come abart at this point.the bumper and the interior and the chassis all have tabs that kinda stack in the rear. Wiggle the chassis and pull forward, it should come out. And if you are working on promos , you need this polish.
