Roadrunner
For whatever bizarre reason, Revell saw fit to add the blank area for the Plymouth decal, to both the driver and passenger side.
Roadrunner
Carpet area gets some Tamiya Nato black spritzed on. When the seats, door panels and dash, are given a coat of satin black, it should make for a nice contrast, I think.
Snake45
For whatever bizarre reason, Revell saw fit to add the blank area for the Plymouth decal, to both the driver and passenger side. Probably because they've never actually seen a '70 Cuda in China.
Roadrunner
Probably because they've never actually seen a '70 Cuda in China. That would certainly explain it, wouldn't it? After a wash, painting the red line and chrome trim ring, plus installing the lights, it still should look pretty cool though, despite that particular inaccuracy. Roadrunner
I finally pained the chassis black, and while I had the airbrush already loaded up, I also went ahead and painted the engine bay. I realize it should probably be blue, but since it will never be seen anyway, I think it's still lots better than bare plastic.
Roadrunner
Thin acrylic wash applied to grill, but doesn't seem to want to photograph well at all.
afx
Looks good Kevin. I thought about trying to open the slots by sanding down the back side but not sure it would work without destroying the grille.

I can envision it all crumbling to pieces under my shaky hands.
Roadrunner
Today I finally got around to grabbing one of the Molotow pens (40% off at HL). I snatched the 2mm tip, as that seemed the best compromise for me, though I may grab another, depending on how it works out for me. . Spex84
Looking good!I bet that extra blank area on the grille is the result of a 3D CAD modeler using a "mirror" or symmetry function without realizing that the part is not, in fact, perfectly symmetrical.
