Big Horn with Big Al

As far as Iknow it was in only one Dodge (at least one Bighorn) and it was Allis-Chalmers themselves who had ordered it. The engine's build thread is in here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/123724-1974-dodge-bighorn-done/

Not sure how I missed this originally, but nice old Dodge. One of these days I want to model a Big Al engine. I think an AMT Cummins would get me about 75% there. I've got an Illini Big Horn that I need to pay more attention to.

Thanks . I used a DAF 2800 as a base.

My real hangup is the purple. That's a shade of purple that just doesn't seem to exist beyond the Big Al. ?

Mine appears pinker, that is if the real one is correct. It is obviously a restored engine.

It's pretty close to Mopar FC7 "In Violet"/"Plum Crazy" High Impact color from the early 70's
