Old AMT kit that will be built mostly box stock.  Probably use straight exhaust tips, adding Cleveland valve covers, factory style air clearer, and rear shocks.  Need to paint the lower part below the chrome trim black and do the chrome work.  Interior is about done except for the shifter.  May add more detailing to the awful engine compartment.  Hope to be done in a few weeks,

Nice build. I just finished the 1973 rerelease.... Which was honestly one of the worst kits I've encountered and it had one of the best turnouts of any of my builds. Although I went with a more radical custom theme. I can see the difference in the kits in spots like the interior, and exterior badging. Otherwise they look like the same kit

Yes - the ones with the stock interior can be pricey.  I'm accepting these kits for what they are since there are not any realistic alternatives.   One of my builds will be a lot more detailed but since I want to build a dozen 71-73's I am keeping most of them simple.

I just bought this kit. I hope it turns out looking as good as this one. Sharp build!!

Missing Link has a nice 1971 grille to back date the  1973 MPC.  Too bad AMT ruined the stock Mustang to make that racer.

Yes, I have several of their Mach1 and Boss chrome bumpers and one of the Coupe resin kits.
