Aside from the (apparently hard to find), Revell '99 Silverado, which appears to be stock, I found this kit last night. My question: Does this kit have parts to build stock, or only this low rider looking thing?

I'm also very much interested in either a 1:24 or 1:25 GMC Yukon (year doesn't really matter), but have had no luck whatsoever in finding one, other than die-cast, which is certainly not going to be my first choice.

There has never been a Yukon kitted in any scale.  The first generation Tahoe (Chevy version) was made in 1/25th scale by AMT as a snap kit over 20 years ago.   I can't recall seeing a die cast Yukon in 1/24th, but there are 1/24th Tahoes and Suburbans of various years out there in die cast.

That may be what I'm thinking of, regarding the Yukon, Rob, so thanks for the clarification. It seems apparent that I'll never own either either a Silverado or Yukon, so models may be the only real hope I have of ever having one.

The only Silverado kit with the stock parts is the stock version of the kit sadly , the closet you can get to a Yukon is Revell did the Caddy Escalade kit, no stock wheels though, I think it was a part of the Donk or Cali wheels series

Thanks, Jonathan that's what I was afraid of.

all you need to build it stock is some tires.

i have the stock '99, Dieseldawg knocked it off the dresser with his tail, was going to stock rebuild it 'till i picked up the custom one for $8, will be made into a crew now....

most of the drop comes from the tires. the fr susp is exactly the same on both, the custom mounts the rr axle above the springs, the stock mounts below the springs. everything else is exactly the same.

Are aftermarket tires that are appropriate, even available anywhere, Dan?

I may have a deal in the works for the original truck, working on a viable swap option now.
