MarkJ Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Finished this a few days ago but could not do the pictures due to other commitments. Took 86.5 hours to complete.hood and grille are from a 38 Ford the the rest of the car is a 39.
MarkJ Posted October 14, 2017 Author Posted October 14, 2017 (edited) Here is the only reference picture I had to go by so a lot of it was guessing on colors and what the covered up partial words were. But I did do some research and they could be feasible. This was the drivers service station. And this was his teammates car. Only the rear fenders were a color other than black on this one but seem to match the rear fender color of the 21 car.. The trunk, roof and hood were black on the 14. I think the driver wanted to match the color of the Amoco logo which was red and black back in 1940. Edited October 14, 2017 by MarkJ
