Question about value.

I recently bought a guys unbuilt stash and it has 5 of these Revell Limited Edition kits.Does anyone know the value of these Limited Edition Lunchbox kits?I looked on ebay and it's all over the place.

Always keep in mind that value is relative to each person, so try to find an average value using Completed Items on eBay (in the same condition as what you have) and start there.

Are these the Funny Car kits in the "tin" packaging?

"Limited Edition" = "limited to how many they can sell".  The funny car kits don't go for big money.  I had four or five, bought them for around $8 each, sold all but a couple of them for double that.  That paid for the ones I kept, but still that's not big money.

eBay: BIG difference between what people are asking, and what they are getting.

If they are NASCAR kits, you'll really have trouble selling them at all...

Yes Casey they are. I got those and about 40 Nascar kits in the stash.I would like to sell them and recoup some of the money I spent on the ones I wanted.Thanks for the help guys. I'm new at this again after many years but I have jumped back in with both feet much to my wife's chagrin ....lol

Nascar kits are a really tough sale unless they are 70's/80's issued kits. The ones from the mid 90's to current have very little value. You see them at shows for $2-3 each and they still don't sell. At our show we have had several people over the years turn down nascar kits that were draw prizes after having their name drawn. Law of supply and demand. Overabundance of supply for very little demand.

There are three of those which recently sold on eBay for between $25 and $35, so I'd say $25 is a fair asking price, but if you want to move them quickly, $20 or so should do it.

Thanks, yeah I am finding that out.   Fortunately I don't have as many as I thought. People don't even want the Earnhardts .
