Jim N Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 This is a Revell snapper of Jimmie Johnson's 2013 championship Chevy SS and is built box stock. I added the side skirts and front splitter per a tutorial provided by MarkJ. The paint is Rustoleum Cobalt Blue metallic, which I think matches the blue used by HMS at that time pretty well. The clear coat is Future. The decals are from Patto's Place and were doubled up to improve opacity. I painted the white striping on the sides of the car and the roof. The decals do not fit the roof well at all, which is a problem of Patto's decals and the Revell SS and they did not fit well on the sides after the modification to the side skirts. Pretty straightforward and enjoyable build. Thanks for looking. Here are models of the previous 5 championships.
bbowser Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Looks great! Did they call the race for snow?
MarkJ Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Excellent job , Jim. Great work on the body improvements.
