Roadkill2525 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I got started on this little pocket panel, wanted something a little different so glue the windows and paint over them. Im using the custom bodywork with the stock spoiler, stock interior, and minilite wheels. The engine and exhuast are near completion and I've started on the suspension.
Raul_Perez Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 That's a pretty cool looking liitle hotrod, Michael!!
Nick F40 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 YES!! you're going with the MiniLites! Well after building this kit, I like it, it turned out great and yours looks like it will too.
Roadkill2525 Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Engine and exhaust completed, starting on the suspension. Wanted a Cherry Bomb glass pack, the muffler was painted silver, smoke clear and then dullcote
MrObsessive Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Hey! This is a neat project you got going! I'm not much of a tuner fan, but I like it! Have you picked out a color? I see this in a electric/candy blue for some reason.

Roadkill2525 Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 Front suspension done and rear is partially built, ran out of paint.
Roadkill2525 Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) The candy blue isn't working that great on this so I switched to MM Artesian Turquoise Metallic. Edited July 7, 2008 by El Destructo Inc
Roadkill2525 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 Im starting on the interior and don't know want to do for it. Here's some mock-ups and some finished bits. heat shield is MM Stainless Steel, wouldn't buff out to a nice shine.
Nick F40 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Wow, this is REALLY coming out nice! I like all the colors.
Roadkill2525 Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 Chassis is done, detailing the interior, the is body painted and ready for clear.
dub Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 very nice but, wasn't a cherry bomb A muffler? Yes. That is why he painted the mid-muffler red. The cat is the blob under the oil pan. (For cats to work efficiently, they need to be close to the combustion. If you put them too far back, the exh. gas temp will be too low for the cat to do its work.) ...And, that is shaping up nicely, there Michael! Can't wait to see a mockup in paint.

Roadkill2525 Posted July 10, 2008 Author Posted July 10, 2008 Interior is done, steering wheel and shifter from the Revell '66 Mustang. Completed the engine bay. The rear wheels sit too far back causing the tires to hit the bumber, any solutions?
Nick F40 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 comin along nicely I had that same issue. my bumper is stilla litttle out of hack but I didn't put the wheels on the pegs on the suspension I just epoxyed the wheels in where I wanted them.
rattle can man Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I know this is a very old thread, but from the pics, I count three mufflers/ resonators, even if the post is correct that the cat is under the oil pan. That doesn't seem like something I would do if I were building for performance. It would restrict exhaust flow too much.
Rescued customs Posted February 18 Posted February 18 It’s a mostly in modified kit that is how the kit was so he kept it not everyone mods everything…. Or he lives in cali
