Monty Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I've been doing some pre-build research on '65 Galaxies and noticed that the headlight bezels are more of a dull silver color. Any recommendations on what paint would be best for this? It'll need to be the right shade plus not show brush marks. Also, what's the best tool for removing the molded-in exhaust from the chassis? I'd like to do this without removing much/any of the other chassis detailing if possible.
espo Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 A couple of ideas on your Headlight Bezel color. You could brush on some Flat Clear. I have used Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum or X-32 Titanium Silver for such trim.
SfanGoch Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 It's going to be a PITA; but, scribing around the exhaust details, combined with judicious use of a grinding wheel, works. That's what I did.
