Joe Handley Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Any suggestions on how I can get the quarter glass installed on my Revell '32 5 Window? I had them fall out when I was assembling mine and one disappeared when it hit the floor, but I think I found it and would like to put them in, but can't get it back apart to do so.
espo Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 There is a tool with a suction cup on the end that is designed for picking up and handling very small parts. I would check HL and your local Model Shops and see if they have anything on that order. I had a similar problem with the rear window on a '50 Olds build and a '57 Chevy Bel Air side window that came out. I used a product called Quick Release that I got at HL. These are plastic sticks about 3" long with a rubbery sticky end that you can use to grab and hold the window in place till the glue sets.
Joe Handley Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 Cool, I didn't know HobbyLobby carried those, I'll keep an eye out next time I'm there, it'll work for the Harley LED style headlight setup I want to use too! Thanks!
High octane Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 They might carry those tools at Micro Mark also. I would cut the tip off a toothpick, use some double sided tape on the end and stick it onto the glass and try and install it that way. I believe that I had used this method once before and it worked out.
