the 68 shelby came  green and i want to change the color besides it dosen`t look like a painted green  - do i paint right over this green i`d have to say the new paint won`t adhere to it am i right ??

Unless you want ugly, prime it before applying your chosen color.

Assuming it is this kit any dark color should cover it.  However this kit has sink marks so it would be best to primer it.
