I have to agree with the gentleman who responded with the comment about the late Ed Roth . However I would like to go on record as saying that the model resembles something from the studios of Mr . Chip Foose. It really hit me when I saw the photograph of the model with the top up . Interesting.................. Ed Shaver

Gee thanks, Ed. Never set out to copy anyones work, or start a trend. I digged bein kinda inna same boat as Big Daddy, not too sure bout Mr Foose--he aint nuthin like Boydington am he? Not knockin the Boyd, just didn't care for the personality I saw on his TV show, but I do realize it's a media thing........I best stop here

ok fellers, time to get a bit serious...:lol::lol:;):P ........oh alright! Done got a little crazier today at the workbench (probly shoulda washed the dishes) Started plumbin this here li'l T's onethutty Cadddemillac enjine. Aint real purty, but it should run :P:P

frontcarbfuelline-vi.jpg

took really thin wire insultation off the stuff they

tie toys to the boxes with and used it fer the fuel lines.

Yeah I sees that back carb gonna be leakin

needsfuelfrompumptocarbs-vi.jpg

since this here Li'l T has such big, (sorry)...BIG wheels

can't be takin a chance on no stock fuel pump,

scratched a big honkin pump and welded it to da frame

OKnowlinefrompumptofuelblock-vi.jpg

here be part o the plum crazy sstuff, mebbe in

1/25 scale, fer sure in 1/16 and bigger, but 1/32?

We are crazy, Gramps!!

carblinkagewithbody-vi.jpg

passing gear linkage--straight into the bell housing :P

weldingfuellinetoframe-vi.jpg

persuadin the gas line to get closer to the frame

scratchycoil-vi.jpg

eewwhhh! :o a scracthybuitd onethutty scale

coil fer the Caddemillac (didn't mean to gross anyone out)

ycoilmountedtomodifiedfirewall-vi.jpg

uh when you get it running are you going to need a lighter soon

i mean i can ship one out so you can get that realistic flame look

;)

a fire extingusher's probly a better idea :P:lol::P

(it bein a gluebomb an @)

guess I gotta spill some beans, an share a little bout my youth. way badk dere when I was jus a punk kid and models cost a couple bucks, we used to get the really cool monster models, Frankenstein, Werewolf, Mommy, Creature form the Blaque Laqoon, glow in the dark skeletons, etc. Loved to kit bash em & put the arms from one on another 'n stuffs like dat. I finally duded up ol Frankie with some big outa scale skeleton arm bones--ya'll remember his 'stance'? arms strainght out. Well, bout the same time we discoverd that good ol model cement burns when you light it up--wasn't no orange flavored syrupy stuff they sell the poor kids nowdays (hmmm...wonder why ;) ) anyhows you shoulda

seen ol Frankie burn :P :P:o:blink:

gettin some bodywork done on the Li'l T.

at 1/32 scale it aint very big. cleaned up the

windshield frame so it don't look so clunky--

CAUTION! FRAGILE!

was gonna chop a couple inches offn it, but

it's hot and I gotsa headache <_<

bigglass-vi.jpg

and I sees I gotta do some puttyin. gonna be

a bit of a challenge to paint ifn I wants it to be

more'n one colour--plannin on anodized purple

fer the body parts and white intereior, silver firewall?

tubinneedofputtyup-vi.jpg

ragtop needs a bit of adjustment, little too narrow

to fit on the outside of the tub -- and to help with

installing it after the body is all painted I decided

to add a bit of the pivot detail and throwed a couple

struts in too.

struttingthetop-vi.jpg

The big honkin hunka spreu is gonna be sliced

after a couple months of dry time ;) to just a lot

mo thicker than any PE stuff, then hopefuellie

I can drill thru the pivot disc (shown abstractly here)

into the body, insert a pin for the disc to actually :D

pivot on, but moreso as a locater/installation pin,

so's part of this can be considered a snap together

This is a great looking rod there Capt!

I am really liking the direction you are going but have to step up and say something, but I could be wrong....

Doesn't a Magneto already have a built in coil? From what I understand... the Mag generates it's own current and has a built in coil which is why it was so popular for racing engines.

Incidentally it only needs one wire running to it to short out the system so as to kill the engine upon shut down sort of like a lawn mower engine.

Thanks Jairus! :P I wasn't sure about that myself ;) , been makin up some stuff along the way here just based on my limited knowledge and experiences with the 1:1s. I was just about to drill another teenyweeeny little hole in the top of that 'Magneto', so thanks again--whew!

Oh u want to know how to saty away from the hobby shop. There are 2 ways. One let the air out of your cars tires  or 2 look at the stack of models u still have to build :o:P . Thats how i stay away from the hobby shop. Just look through my collection and think why buy another. But if new nice kits comeout or i get old kits offered then i will buy those.
