John Force had a pretty bad wreck today, out in Arizona.Apparently he was coming to the finish, when his motor blew, sending his car into the other racer,Jonnie Lindberg,Who subsequently crashed his car..But it appears that both drivers are fine. There seems to be a black cloud over the Forces lately.First Britanny's bad wreck a couple of weeks ago,and now dad crashed his car.??

I saw that yesterday, I hope both drivers are okey, Brittany was banged up but at least okey after the Pomona crash and was driving at this event and Courtney won this event.
I'm from Sweden and I kind of root for Jonnie, but my favourite NHRA driver since the early 90's is John (as you might have figured out from my alias and avatar) so I don't know wich leg to stand on when they race each other.

Yea it looked like it was a pretty bad crash.I think someone on the Force's race team,is going to lose their job.:o:(

Why do you say that?  These racers and crew chiefs know the dangers.  It looked like a blower explosion after a valve dropped, not much to be done about that if you are running a 10,000 HP engine on nitro.

Yep that was a wild ride! Luckily there were no big injuries on this crash. It's always sad when both of the cars hit each other, but that's racing and on those speeds you don't have much time to react before you're already hitting something...

It's a shame that it was Jonnie on the other lane. Being from Finland, it has been nice to see a Swedish racer win in NHRA Races. It's just a bummer that he drives a Toyota now so I can't root him that much at the moment (unless he is racing against another Toyota bodied FC).:P

I don't care what body he has on his car, it's only a carbon fibre wedge shaped shell wich doesn't look like a car anyway, so I root for him regardless...it's only when he races John I have a hard time deciding on who I root for as both can't win.
I saw an interview with John yesterday, he got knocked out in the crash but he seems to be just fine.
They are also helping Jim Head / Jonnie Lindberg fix the damaged chassis at the JFR Brownsburg shop right now so Jonnie will have a car to race at Gainesville in a couple of weeks...John is allright as he has backup cars to use.

Yep I know that luckily the body doesn't match any "real" car, and no matter what body it is, those Floppers are a lot of fun to see on the Strip. But, I have to say that as a person who has never had any other than American Cars here in Finland, I feel bad when I see Toyotas in Funny Car (or NASCAR). So that said, if there is a Toyota bodied FC going against Chevy or Dodge I definitely know which one I root for. But it's not a matter of life and death of course.:P

No matter what, it's great news that they are already working on Jonnie's car, I wish good luck to him on the next races.

Now you can really root for Jonnie at Gainesville Niko.
They have fitted a Ford Mustang body (most likely one of Force's former bodys) on the repaired chassis and he is also sponsored by Landmeco, a Danish company run by Karsten Andersen, a former Top Fuel car co-owner and one of the best European tuners together with the other co-owner Per Andersen (no relation) and they have at least 4 or 5 European Championships with different drivers, Karsten also helps with the tuning on Jonnies car.
