Casey Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I was hoping Robert Burns would tackle this subject, and it looks like it's already off the ground, albeit in the early stages: https://www.ebay.com/itm/resin-1-25-1-25th-test-shot-1966-66-Chevy-panel-van-first-casting-super-rare-/282922906173?hash=item41df84f23d%3Ag%3AJTsAAOSwWhVaz-8N&nma=true&si=TdL1tcmxwBcP8l%2FjiXzKD5svIiw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Casey Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 I'm hoping after some more fine tuning (like correcting the front vents, which are way too big) we'll see this in production with a separate unibody floorpan/frame. Stock up in those inline fours and sixes now.

Eshaver Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Now can we expect the rather spartan interior like the dash , motor box too ?

It seems to be Robert's pattern that early test shots are produced in color, then sold on eBay. I never bought one of the Futurliner castings he offered, so maybe someone who did can provide more info regarding how it works. Edited April 19, 2018 by Casey
Eshaver Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Casey, I was "Put off " from buying a thing from him due to his rather Curt answers to questions I had on the Future liner . If this is the same fella , I WON'T be buying a thing .....

mikemodeler Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 That is a nice looking resin piece. I have 4 of his bodies and they are very nice. I wonder what the donor chassis would be for this?

Now to get all of the interior parts that are offered by Shapeways and I'll be set.

I couldn't really afford the Futurliner when I bought it but I'm sure glad I did otherwise I wouldn't have one. Cardinal rule of thumb with resin. Buy it when you see it because you might not see it again...Modelhaus being a PRIME example.
