New Photobucket style disaster?

So SmugMug bought Flickr...

Just waiting to see if there will be another disaster in the best Photobucket style, this time with Flickr.

Nobody can charge you to access pictures you keep on your hard drive. 

If I can't post pictures directly to a site I just don't post anything. 

Now that you can do that here it seems simple to me. 

Just my opinion though.

Yeah, but for what I would be willing to bet is an overwhelming majority here, this is not the only forum we participate in. And most other sites don't have their own storage. So, an online photo host is a must-have to share on most other forums.

I'd agree with this sentiment too.  I was wasting too much time on too many forums so I've found Photobucket did me a favour by pulling the pin.
