George Bojaciuk Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 In my search for parts in my Basement, I came across some parts from a Diecast program in 1:24th. I sized up one unit to a Monogram ‘69 GTO hood... L to R... ‘70 GTO Ram Air set up, ‘71-‘72 Ram Air and the dual snorkel unit. I still need to find the snorkel snout hardware! I’ll be working with Greg Wann on this and will advise on availability!
paul alflen Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 GEORGE, LET ME KNOW WHEN THESE ARE READY, I 'LL TAKE A SET FOR THE JUDGE HOOD, AND FOR THE 71 RAM AIR HOOD.
George Bojaciuk Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 (edited) There will be one more added to this group! I posted this on my emails already and just wanted to share it here. Jeff Pierson is doing this outstanding master for the Firebird 400. I'm looking to get Greg Wann to add this to the Ram Air Items, as well. Edited May 6, 2018 by George Bojaciuk ...added photo!
Greg Wann Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Those parts look great. The air cleaners might not be fun to demold, but I will give it a try. I am looking at what appears to be a hollow opening inside the "horns". I guess that is what they are called. Silicone has to form the inside area and then be gently pulled from the master and all of the following parts without tearing from the mold itself. Not every part is fun or easy to make.
George Bojaciuk Posted May 7, 2018 Author Posted May 7, 2018 I don't have Jeff's in hand to see, but mine come apart.
George Bojaciuk Posted May 7, 2018 Author Posted May 7, 2018 I couldn't find suitable parts for the Dual Snorkel....so I made them.
Greg Wann Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Hi George, They should be easy enough to duplicate since they come apart.
