Lizard Racing Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Congrats to Will Power on winning the 2018 Indy 500! He drove a smart race and kept his head at the end, knowing the two guys ahead had to stop for fuel one last time. He also did not try to pass Charlie Kimball on the last lap. J. R. Hildebrand tried that in 2012 and it cost him the race on the last lap. Oriol Servia had to make a desperate splash-and-go stop, but at that wound up 17th. That shows how competitive Indy cars are these days. I believe there were 20 cars on the lead lap.
Greg Myers Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Thanks for the spoiler alert. I had this recorded.
NYLIBUD Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Never heard of him,but then again I don't really follow Indy car racing.Any bad wrecks?
kitbash1 Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Outside of the late Dick Trickle, Will Power has the coolest name in Motorsports...

Greg Myers Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Any number of reasons. On other boards there are courtesy protocols in place for race results. Evidently not here.

Lizard Racing Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 Sorry if I created a controversy. If you recorded the race, watch it anyway. Lots of close intense racing.
aurfalien Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Hi, I'm watching it now actually, loving it! I don't really care who won but rather how they won. The cars look better but there seems to be less action in terms of passing due to the reduced down force over all. Plus less drafting. I'll be very curious to see how Alonso does when he comes back to a very different Indy car.
