porschercr Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I'm curious to know, for interior colors, seats, dash etc. What do you think is the better sheen, semi gloss or a matte? The bodies will be either semi gloss or gloss. They will not be weathered, except for some chassis detailing. Thanks, Trevor
SfanGoch Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 If you intend on replicating viny/leather seat covers, semigloss. Cloth, flat/matte.

BigTallDad Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I use both Matte (for carpeting and cloth seats) and semi-gloss for vinyl/leather seats/door panels etc. Krylon makes a clear acrylic for both (as well as a gloss), one can of each will work for almost any color you can think of. Since it's acrylic, concerns about paint reactions are reduced.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 It depends on the effect that you are trying to achieve. I've found that a very light mist coat of pearl acrylic over flat paint gives a fairly convincing "60s metallic" interior look & sheen. Steve
