philo426 Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Went with the Paxton supercharger and a red over white paint scheme.
philo426 Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 This is an older tool,so the exhaust is molded into the chassislMight need some touch up but not too bad,
philo426 Posted June 14, 2018 Author Posted June 14, 2018 Got the body painted and the two toned interior.
philo426 Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 I did not like the kit supplied driveshaft ,so I used a brass tube and plastic U joints.
philo426 Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 The tires needed white walls,so I used the old acrylic flat white and circle template trick.

Modelbuilder Mark Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Despite some of the shortcomings, I always liked this kit.
philo426 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 (edited) Pretty impressive considering it was tooled the old school way with a larger body buck and pantograph.proportions look great.'! Edited June 18, 2018 by philo426
philo426 Posted June 19, 2018 Author Posted June 19, 2018 I put the interior door panels into the body and carefully applied cement to the edges. Then I closed the doors and applied a clamp.Ensured the doors will open properly.
High octane Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Lookin' good on that Ford so far. My dad had bought a new one only with 4 doors as it was a family car. I have that AMT '57 Ford kit in my stash, but like many others I don't know when I'll get around to building it
philo426 Posted June 19, 2018 Author Posted June 19, 2018 Yes it is a well engineered kit.Doors open fine!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Looking good. Front splash pan is painted Argent (aluminum) from the factory. Have multiples of this kit built, it's my all time favorite kit.
ewetwo Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I have a couple of these to do and I'll be looking yours over closely. Not that mine will be this great. LOL
