mikemodeler Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I got an email earlier today from Tower Hobbies informing me of their Fathers Day Sale and that if I place an order of $50 or more, I can use order code 01A15 to take $15 off that order! Not sure if the free shipping code 01A13 still works, but I might have to look through the website tonight to see if there is anything I need. Happy Shopping!
Ben Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 You can use that code at any time. I’ve been using it for years. They offer free shipping sporadically. If you join the super saver club, you’ll get free shipping on any order over 100.00. So with the club and the code, a 100.00 order is only 85.00 shipped.
mikemodeler Posted June 14, 2018 Author Posted June 14, 2018 Thanks Ben, wasn't aware of the super saver club! In looking at the website, I did notice that there was a lot of "order pending" and "out of stock" notes on many items- kits & paint mostly.
mikemodeler Posted August 17, 2018 Author Posted August 17, 2018 Just got another email from Tower Hobbies with their $15 off coupon code. Sadly, most everything they had model car related was on order or back order. Not sure how they plan to generate sales when they have little to offer.

Remember, they were a part of the Hobbico bankruptcy asset liquidation sale , so no doubt that cause a disruption in keeping products stocked. Edited August 18, 2018 by martinfan5

True, but why keep sending invitations to shop if you have little to offer? I didn't even venture to their R/C side to see what that looked like. I enjoyed their service and hope they get back to their old self, running out of places to shop!
Phirewriter Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 The R/C side is ok. I've also run out of local places to shop for my R/C fix. The Hobby Town store that is close has crazy prices on most of their stuff even with club discounts etc... That only brings the price's to just above MSRP and not even close to street prices that are normally charged for many items. I'd rather shop locally but can't justify it. At least my LHS (Model Empire) has models that are competitively priced but they don't carry any radio control products.
