YBlock292 Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 (edited) I started off with this build: 1960 Chevrolet Impala by Revell. I want to build it stock, very close to the original. So I chose red as body color with a white roof. The interior is matching, with decals from the box. Most of the chrome work I did with Molotow Liquid Chrome, which works great. E.g. I chromed the "W" valve covers of the 348 ci V8 simply with a brush (no air brush needed) and I applied it also to the stock air cleaner, to give the car a little "dress up". Charlie0882004 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I love the chrome work you did. You mind elaborating more on what and how you did it with the brush. Thanks
YBlock292 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 Two photos of the body of the 1960 Impala, so far:
smhardesty Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Things are looking fantastic so far. Really looking forward to seeing it finished. IMO, the '60 Impala looks best in either red or black paint. Looks like you're really going to do the red color justice.
disconovaman Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Beautiful in Red or black... I like GM Greens and yellows of the era also. Often overlooked is the 60 impala they are great looking cars. This one is coming out nice. I built one based on Artwork by Tim Mullins. I've been wanting to build the kit agian.
