Jay Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 I did this about a year ago. I spent a lot of time updating the body from 1990 to 94. I also added the wheel marks on the door based on some reference shots of the car. 1
jchrisf Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Really cool... I'm going to have to keep my eye out for this car on eBay.
MarkJ Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Awesome job, Jay. Some weathered cars are just an excuse for not having any painting skills, but yours looks like the real deal. Very realistic looking.
Jim N Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Great job! I agree with Mark, the weathering is extremely well done.
MSHrebel20 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I would pay a very nice price if I could purchase this or get you to make one of these for me!
OldNYJim Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I know this is an old thread, but that's REALLY nicely done. Great subtle weathering and the tire rubs look SUPER realistic! Nice job @Jay!
Johnny Canuck Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 What's the likelihood that those actual tire marks on the driver's side door were created after the chequered flag fell? You know, Gordon getting to feel the love of all his rivals and contemporaries during the cool down lap. Racin' hickies. I propose this in consideration that Indy is hardly the sort of track where incidental body contact is likely. It sure ain't Martinsville.
Dan Hay Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Can you help me with what colors to paint this car? Is it orange or red? What did you use for the colors?
Toast Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Very nice work as usual. I really like the updates. Those Luminas still look mean.
