I must have done something wrong. I primed a corvette body a few days ago. Yesterday I spray painted it. Today I re-sprayed it because there were some thin spots and when I did. The paint crinkled. So it's in the purple power bath. Should I have waited longer to re-spray it? I used Krylon primer and Rust-Oleum paint.

Respray was too soon. Enamels can take days to fully cure. Any top coat applied before then will cause the older coat to wrinkle.

A dehydrator can help reduce the cure time.

Ok. Thank you for letting me know.  I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. I'll know better next time. And it's curing in the workshop located in the basement. So it's a bit cooler there. I should but it in the garage where it's warmer.

READ THE LABEL. It seems that most paints have been reformulated lately (probably due to VOC regs) and the old rules just don't apply anymore. Most paints nowadays will say to recoat within the first hour or after so many days and that will vary by brand. I've seen some that say after 7 days. So if you can't finish the job in an hour wait for as long as the label says.
