NOBLNG Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 This seems to be my biggest enemy right now. Actually, I have battled it all my life, it's just that the older I get the more it seems to be a pressing issue. I never had too much of a problem with it at work because... well, things HAD to get done. I brought my '54 Willys into my garage to fix the rust on the drip rails which I figured would take me 3 weeks or so... and this is going on year 3 now of it sitting in the garage with no roof on it. I bought a few books on conquering procrastination but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet. Now that I am retired I should be able to get more things done...but then again, there's no rush, I'm retired!
High octane Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I believe that procrastination comes at any age and to some people more than others. I know someone who hasnn't finished a model car since 1968 (?) and yet he still looks through the boxes, buys some more kits, makes an inventory, etc. That's 1/2 a century my friends. Of course I myself procrastinate at times even though I leave myself notes to get things done, and the notes do help a lot.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 ^^^ Exactly. Why do anything today that can be put off until tomorrow? Procrastination becomes an art-form after a while practicing it.
