Renegade Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Scored this morning at a garage sale for a buck. Clean build but strange choice of colors. Missing front bumper. May be a Foose car, not sure. Orange body with purple interior and frame.
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Cool car, ugly choice in colors. Great price, did you ask if they had more? You know the old saying "Where there's one..." Did you look all around for the bumper that day? It could have fallen off that morning and was somewhere nearby. I found all the major parts for an MPC 70 Boss 302 Mustang and a 71 GMC Sierra Grande pickup that way. I didn't stop rummaging around and kept finding parts in different boxes, but I did find them. I was on cloud 9 that day!
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 I also remember I came across a 61 Impala 4 door promo in an antique store, marked down 50% off so I bought it on the spot. It was missing the grille, front bumper and lower valence panel. I ended up finding the grille for it INSIDE THE CAR, between the chassis and interior of all places! I replaced the bumpers and missing panel from a Lindberg 61 and it fit almost perfectly. I polished the body and it now has a place of honor on my son's shelf. He loves the car. Sorry to ramble, my point is - when you find a prize and it's missing any parts, keep looking around, they might be right there!
espo Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Great find. How would you like to double your money ?? This would be an easy redo too your taste.
