gasman Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I just picked up on of these kits since I'm kinda in a light commercial mood. what year is this van supposed to represent?
george 53 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Tere, I don't really think it represents any SPECIFIC year. Just a Dodge van. The grille isn't molded to be any specific year either. I guess MPC was too cheap back then to bother with trivial things like accuracy. It does build up well though.

george 53 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Kev, just go down to your local fire station an ask someone in charge if you could take pics of one of theirs. Most firefighters are REAL nice guys and won't mind if you show an interest in their work.My son-in law is a firefighter, and he and his fellow firefighters ALWAYS like to show off their rigs! They are always clean an waxed and ready to roll, to a parade or a fire. These guys are TRUE HEROES. go on down there an ask,you might be surprised!

When the Rescue 911 van came out the grille was "back-dated" to resemble the mid 70's grille. (possibly to escape royalties(?)).
