DonW Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Brilliant choice. The 'lucky' owner needs to sort his bumper alignment out!
ChrisR Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 I recognise the wheel covers and trim rings but that leads me to nowhere!
carsntrucks4you Posted August 18, 2018 Author Posted August 18, 2018 The winners are sjordan2 Thom DonW matthijsgrit ChrisR dw1603 Congratulations!
dw1603 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 (edited) The frumpy original (a Mk2 in this instance) A Hillman SuperMinx in a posh frock, this is stunning compared to the frumpy original. Apart from the front end being a random mishmash from the Rootes Group parts bin, the Venezia is a handsome automobile. Shame about the 1600 cc four banger and boring steel wheels, so much unfulfilled promise. Edited August 18, 2018 by dw1603 Add image
dw1603 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 In my opinion, the best looking model in the Audax range was the Humber Sceptre. Same chassis, same headlights, similar grille, probably the same windscreen, but not sadly the same lightness of touch in the overall styling. I’d still love one though.
carsntrucks4you Posted August 20, 2018 Author Posted August 20, 2018 Both cars have a face that only a mother could love
MrObsessive Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Yikes!! I'll take the '61 Cadillac next to it! As far as the car above, I knew it was something Sunbeamish.......just couldn't zero in exactly what it was. The wheelcovers and rear fenders are similar to the then current Tiger/Alpine.
