The frumpy original (a Mk2 in this instance)

A Hillman SuperMinx in a posh frock, this is stunning compared to the frumpy original. Apart from the front end being a random mishmash from the Rootes Group parts bin, the Venezia is a handsome automobile. Shame about the 1600 cc four banger and boring steel wheels, so much unfulfilled promise.

In my opinion, the best looking model in the Audax range was the Humber Sceptre. Same chassis, same headlights, similar grille, probably the same windscreen, but not sadly the same lightness of touch in the overall styling. I’d still love one though.D88D58A8-D6DE-462F-9B85-FE0B49447076.thumb.png.b2df568a1c6aeab0600ce2139406a38f.png

Yikes!! I'll take the '61 Cadillac next to it! As far as the car above, I knew it was something Sunbeamish.......just couldn't zero in exactly what it was. The wheelcovers and rear fenders are similar to the then current Tiger/Alpine.
