There's an A.C. Moore in my neck of the woods, and they do sell model kits there. There are some paints and glues, but it's the garden variety stuff from Testors and non of the esoteric stuff we on the lunatic fringe like.

BUT! I've found some very interesting things in A.C. Moore that DO come in handy for detailing! Bead wire for instance which comes in different O.D. diameters, and is excellent for brake/fuel lines and such. I've seen (and I have) the type that has the dull finish, and also the type that's plated. Also they sell the wire that you would wrap a bouquet of flowers in for instance. I've found that to be great for certain detail items.

They sell your different assortment of glass paint jars and such which is good for those times when you want to mix your own paint. Take a look around..........you're bound to find some kind of handy modeling item there! ;)

If it is anything like the local A. C. Moore they're model selection will be slim and very few if any of the new releases.  However they do have a 55% coupon on their telephone app and if you are a veteran there is another 10% on top of that.  I have bought a couple of kits there for just over $10.

Wow, they've expanded that far?  They're based just a couple towns away from me here in South Jersey.  I thought they were just a local east-coast chain

We have a couple of AC Moore stores here in Richmond Va. One store has the models and they're the garden variety Revell pieces . As Bill mentioned , they do have craft supplies Michael's does not . I do primarily dioramas and thus , most kits and the excitement I see here on this forum are from model kit adddtics

Yeah, they're moving into a former Porters Crafts&Frames store in Idaho Falls that had been there for 25 years or so.

The AC Moore stores near me have got a decent supply of models, paints, and a few other supplies. The Michaels is basically the same..However,the Hobby Lobby that just opened up a few months ago near me,has a very large selection of models, paints, supplies, etc. And considering how few LHS there are now, that would be my choice.
