The fans were actually not that bad, but kinda awkward to do such small detailed work practically one handed. Once you have a frame (which was larger wire circle and a X for the arch), its just adding little bits to it. I was actually pretty skeptical about the outcome at first, but they turned out ok. Fast drying super-glue is a must for this.

It dries crystal clear and holds well, it is a bit flexible so there is none of the 'ting' factor like CA has if a part is nicked or touched.

Microscale makes clear adhesive that is similar to white glue, but stronger.
Rider Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) It's probably the same stuff but WAY cheaper. $3 for that bottle. It also comes in an 8oz bottle. I swear by it. I use it for a ton of stuff, not just building models. It cleans up with water but once cured water does nothing to it. Edited September 18, 2018 by Rider

The Italian Horses website was one of the sites that not only got me hooked on modelling, but is still a go-to source for simple effective ideas. We are all thrilled to see you (and your obsessively detailed results) back !!
Italianhorses Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) Thanks gents. This one is done. Few last pieces that go to this WIP, and then it will be in the gallery. I decided to go with black wheels, so typical Skyline wheel emblems were too dark. I foudn an old PE fret with some GT-R emblems from my R34 build, and used that instead: Turned out quite well: Put final touches and decals on the back, blacked out the exhaust tips, checked the stance, put decal on the hood: And this one is officially completed: Edited September 30, 2018 by Italianhorses
Italianhorses Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 Thanks! The completed photoset is in the gallery now.
