Inserting a Youtube video into a post?

I see that done all the time, yet I haven't figured out hos to do it.  I know how to include photos (either uploaded or linked) into my posts, and how to insert URL links. But videos have me stumped. I can insert the URL to a video (and it shows up as a clickable link), but I would like to have the video show up in the post.  How do you all do it?  I use a Seamonkey (flavor of Mozilla Firefox) browser and either MS Windows XP or 7.

If you put the URL in the text box, and then hit submit, the video should show up on the page once it posts. At least that's how it's worked for me in the past. It's yet another reason why there should be a preview page here on the board. We could test stuff like that out, and not have a hit or miss.

Ok.........just tried what I described, and it works!  

EDIT: Actually the vid showed up as soon as I pasted the YT URL. Hope this helps!

Ah, I know what I was doing wrong.  I was using the "add link" button above the text window. Silly me. Makes sense now.

Peter it may be the browser you're using. I'm at work using IE, but it's worked for me at home using Firefox. If you have IE, check it out on that. I simply copied and pasted the URL in the text box, and the video did show up before I hit the Submit Reply button.

Mine works like that too. I was just trying to use the "add link" button over the text box.  All is well.   Thanks Bill!
