Badger Paasche Testors Iwata all make a decent compressors in that range.

i wanna stay away from hobby compressors i need a decent one with a tank, with a mid to high SCFM

Look for a nail gun compressor. You can get them for under $100 and they last for several years. Some places like Harbor and Freight would carry them. There's no point in looking at name brands since the majority of the air compressors are the same whether they're a name brand or not. They usually carry the same warranty. Also look for an oiless motor compressor. That way you don't have oil being able to get into the air, which could ruin your paint.

I use a small 2 gallon Campbell Hausfeld That I bought At Wally World for $70 That works great. It has a built in regulator. It is a little loud but just for a few minutes as it keeps up with some continuous use. They have a run silent modelbut the prices go up then. I think I have seen those models at Lowes.
