RDean58 Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 Yes, the skirts are taped on. Thanks for the tip.
Deuces Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I like what your doing with the '57 Chevys... ?? Please keep them going!! Your off to a great start..?
Againmikewins Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Love the ambition! I think you need the Revell '57 Convertible in the mix too!
bisc63 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Cool stuff, but the best use of those skirts is the parts bin! (Never cared for 'em, that's just me) Nice to see the other old custom pieces used, especially like the Buick grille. Any thoughts as to colors for either car?

Funny you should mention that, here are two I started years ago. Both will be black with red/silver interior for convert and red/black for sedan. I'm also using the continental kit and skirts on this Revell 2 door sedan.

The mild custom will be a green, I am up in the air on the full custom right now. Not even a clue as to what color it will be. Perhaps Aztec Gold? (Testors' one coat lacquer).
RDean58 Posted October 26, 2018 Author Posted October 26, 2018 While I am at it, a couple more on the back burner, started about 6 years ago. Silver and grey interior, single 4 bbl and auto Silver and gun metal (Tamiya colors) with duel 4 barrel intake from the new tool AMT kit. I started this one before the convertibles were out.
RDean58 Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 Got some more done on these, here are some updated Pics! This one is pretty much completed, except.... I had painted the floor flat red but then I ordered some Ken' fuzzy fur in red so I want to redo the carpet area with the fur. Got the green paint put on this one, still waiting on the interior. Paint and decals done on the 150 racer. BelAir sedan is painted Convertible has paint on it as well. That's it for now.
drag racer 15 Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 That black on the convertible looks absolutely incredible. Are you going to paint the aluminum inserts on corder panels? keep it coming!
