eBay resin RB26 engine

Just got my RB26 engine from a seller on eBay (dont remember his name). It looks quite good and clean-up will be very easy. I'm pretty impressed! I read his negative feedback and they are mostly about the quality of the casts. I thought since I really wanted an RB26 and was the only reasonably priced resin casting, I'd take a chance. I'm glad I did!

That looks like a copy of the Tamiya RB26 kit engine, I hope you didnt pay that much for it.

Just for reference, Hobby Design has a really nice RB26 kit, but I dont think that one is no longer available, but you might able to find one, Eighty One has a nice one as well

Thanks for posting this source.  I just got a Revell Integra kit just for the engine, looks like they copied it.

Nah I paid $13 for it. I looked up his eBay seller name (meditrans65) and apparently he was copying a bunch of stuff from other vendors, including stuff from Fireball Models (Chief Joseph). If I would have known that, I wouldnt have given him my business.

At least it's a quality piece and will go good in one of the kits I robbed an engine from. I gotta break out a few of those Hobby Design turbos that I believe were also an eBay remaster posting to be actual Hobby Design turbos. Oh well...you live and learn. They will look good on the RB engine.
