57 Chevy 2 door sedan

I picked up this Revel 57 to put in a 50s Caddy engine but since its not complete thinking about a six cylinder and if I can not find a correct looking six I might put in a 409.

Sounds cool, what kit would the Caddy motor be out of and any idea what 6 cylinder you might use.  I am always looking for a good 6 cylinder.

I think that Caddy engine is from the Revel 49 merc kit,its missing the valve covers and intake.

Your kit appears to be the 150 two door sedan model. This would give you the option of a single four barrel or Fuel Injection engine. Either would be a great. An early nostalgia 409 would be fun or a later model big block Chevrolet.  If a 6 Cylinder ids your desire you might look at one of Revell's Chevrolet pick-up kits with the 6 cylinder.

Yes its the cheap 150 and would love to put a six in it but not sure if I want to rob the 235 out of the 60 p/u I forgot I built but will most likely will since those 60 p/u kits are going for more then I want to pay.

The 53 Chevy by revell has a fairly nice 6 cylinder and so does the Galaxie 46 Chevy kits. Also look at the 51 Chevy from Amt it has a 6 cylinder

The Revell '53 and the Galaxie '46 as well as the '51 Amt all represent the earlier Chevrolet 6 cylinder engine. The later 235 cu.in. engine that would have been in the '57 differs somewhat in appearance in the area of the Valve Cover mostly. If you're going to have a slightly modified 6 cylinder the AMT '51 offers the option of a cross flow head with headers and Fuel Injection. The chrome Valve Cover provided in the kit has the "Fisher" name engraved in it and I think that may have been a company that provided speed parts for the Chevrolet 6 cylinder. Another source if you can find one is the AMT '53 Corvette kit. This kit has the 3 side draft carbs. and also a nice chrome Valve Cover that doesn't look like the early Valve Covers.

 Here is my '57 Chevy 150 with a Pontiac 389 . I also built a  '57 chevy with a '60 pickup's 6 cly.. Reminder that the Raidiator is on the  outside front side of the  core wall.

I am going to see if I can find the six from the 60 p/u kit,I really do not want to take the six from the 60 I built and might end up just using the 283 that came with it but find a two 4 bbl intake since I do have a correct bat wing air cleaner and carbs.

Looking through my parts stash I found a dual quad Buick nailhead so plans might change.
