Revell 77' Firebird Smokey and the Bandit * Lots of pics*

I built this as a tribute to Burt Reynolds who passed away a few months back. Not my best paint job, oh well. This kit is based off a diecast and there is less detail. I couldn't get the hood to close all the way, this is a good kit to build. Look for this model at the Liars contest tomorrow. I will display it as a diorama to pay tribute to Burt Reynolds.

always cool to see a bandit model, great job on the decals. pinstripe decals (monogram monte ss, hurst olds etc) always give me fits especially if its an older kit. they like to curl and flip and break and....arg!

ps. loved Burt. one of his 'worst' movies is one of my favorites. Stroker Ace

Good luck at the LIARS Show with your tribute entry. Wish I could be there but soooooooooooooooo busy with things now its crazy and i have to go in to work tomorrow and study for a music test hardly any time to do much. However, I should be at this thurs mtg so see ya there.

Nice build and your pin striping looks really good. That was the first kit I bought when I got back into model building. Also the first kit i purchased at Hobby Lobby. I didn't know about the 40% coupon at the time so I paid full price.
