Model Cars Magazine Forum

Hello all, I am John a 54 year old living in Berks County PA. I recently had eye surgery and I can see well enough again to actually work on models. I was a very active member on Brian's Model Cars but alas that is no more. I most build racing vehicles, as that is where my interests typically lie. I build 1:20 scale F1 cars, and 1:12 or 1:6 scale motorcycles. I own three 1:1 bikes and have a lot of interest in bikes.

Welcome to the forum from south-western Pa. John!

I, too, have an interest in motorcycles amongst other forms of transportation. If it has wheels and an engine, I like it.

Is that Ossa a 1:1 or a scale model. Not very common but very cool. I have a 1:1 TY250A Yamaha Trials bike. Love the dirt!

The Ossa is 1:1 and it is a pretty miraculous story.

TY sounds fun, I wouldn't mind one myself. I had a couple Montesa Cota's years ago. Trials would be more my speed now-a-days in the dirt.

I need to get the Ossa frame and swing-arm sand blasted and powder-coated. Then I can start reassembly.

Welcome, John! I'm in Centre County, not far from Penn State U. I have bikes too, including this 1962 Honda 50. It's an unrestored original that has been in this town all its life. I bought it in 1978. I replaced the seat and leg guard, but the rest is original. Lots of fun! That's me on the bike in the pic.

Very cool. I have a friend with a CT-90 addiction. He is up to 4 now. One is restored others are in the process, and he is always looking for more. Amazing original survivor!

Reminds me of a song !

"Not a big motorcyle just a groovy little motor bike"

"Put on a ragged sweatshirt I'll take you anywhere I know you like"

"First gear its alright ,second gear lean right ,Third gear hang on tight ......"
