ewetwo Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I bought this kit started at a garage sale. That's why the front windshield looks so bad. I had to cut it out before it went into the purple power. The suspension, motor. all built for hot rod. But I do stock. So here it is finally.
Scalper Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 ahhh the dreaded 2 piece plastic tires. nice work
Bucky Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Came out nice, considering it was an ABS (Already Been Started).

They are one of my favorite kits while they've opening doors. Like them - but sometimes horrible to build. Well made! Good looking Chevy.
ewetwo Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Thanks everyone. I was amazed at how much inner front fender I had to shave off. If I didn't there would have been gaps looking at the front tire from under the hood. And yes Andre. I tried every tire I had but none would fit those wheels that came with it. So yes. The dreaded split tires. grrr. I had to shave quite a bit of the front bumper down for that to fit and cut the bumper brackets in back to make that bumper work. I agree Dominik. I'm starting to dread opening doors and trunks also. LOL I have another 57 in the purple power right now. That was a mess. Brush painted black. Red brush painted interior. Hood is cut for the blower so a hot rod it will be. I did like the flame decals on it but they are now gone. And most of the models I have built while a member of this forum have been started kits I bought cheap. I'm hoping to use those to get my building skills a bit better. Then onto the new ones I have.
