StevenGuthmiller Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 I'm kind of on the fence with the console on my '67 Ford Galaxie project, so I thought that I would pose the question to any of the big Ford gurus among us. Does anyone know if a '67 Galaxie XL with the R code 427, 4 speed would have come with the console or not? Or would it have been optional? Steve
SfanGoch Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 It seems that the console, and bucket seats, were standard equipment: "The ’67 two-door hardtops appeared to be sleeker than the ’66 models, and the bucket seat/console equipped, V8-powered XLs remained in the line-up." Full article HERE.
THarrison351 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Yeah, I don't think it was until 1969 that Ford dropped the bucket seat/center console as standard equipment on the XL. I think you could delete it for a bench seat. Here is a link to the '67 brochure. http://www.oldirononline.com/brochures/Ford/1967/FullSize/index.htm
