carsntrucks4you Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 (edited) This ugly three wheeler is from India and based on a Reliant Robin. It name is Sail Badal or Sipani Badal and was build from 1974 until 1981. Edited December 29, 2018 by carsntrucks4you
MERIVA Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Saw one of these at a local car show some years ago.
dw1603 Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Well I’m glad I looked at this today, not tomorrow (Christmas Day) it would have spoiled my lunch.

TomZ Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Here's a quote about this thing that I loved, comparing it to another 3-wheeler: Are you one of the many people who would love to own a Reliant Robin, but feel that it has too many brakes, it looks too conventional, the engine’s both in the wrong place and has, like, twice as many strokes as it should, and you’d never want to own a car with a symmetrical arrangement of doors? If that’s you then I’m delighted to say I’ve found the car for you: a SAIL Badal.
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I can't help but think that, odd as it is, the one in the photo must be one tough little bugger to be still soldiering on after what would seem to indicate a very hard and unforgiving life. Love those mismatched headlights too.
Bucky Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 And if it dies, one could replace the front wheel with a tongue and have a stylish trailer!!
