I recently ordered the '60 Starliner kit. I've looked on here and online, but can't find any pics of an FE engine with the Paxton supercharger installed.... was this a popular mod back in the day? I've only seen the supercharger on the 312.... I have one from the Del Rio kit, and want to use it on the Starliner.......

Basicly just wondering if this would be acceptable on a mild custom.......

Thanks

If anyone has done this and has pics, I'd love to see them.....

It would just be a matter of creating the bracketry necessary to hang the supercharger and pulleys, figuring out pulleys, and making a hose to connect the blower outlet to a "hat" on the carb(s). Paxtons have been adapted to a number of engines in the 1:1 world, so If you can't find any photos of the FE/Paxton combination, maybe you should be the first!

As Mr. Drysdale says, Paxtons have been put on just about everything somewhere along the line. Descended from similar units called McCulloch, they are the granddaddies of the Paxton, Vortech and ProCharger centrifugal belt-driven units still in production today.

Real-world kits are out there now for refits on FE engines    https://www.thesuperchargerstore.com/ford    and you can be certain they've been done for a long time. I'm 99.785223% sure Hot Rod magazine featured a '57 T-bird with a 406 FE, blown with a Paxton, back in the early '60s.
