ok here is comparison question #4, I noticed polishing the Thunderbird the other day the polish gets in the door and trunk lines and can be tough to get out so to broaden that a little, my question is

What sand paper and polish do you use and how do you clean it up and out of the detail after?

I'll color-sand with GM Wetordry, grits 1000, 1200, 1500, and 2000, which I use depends on the exact job. I seldom use more than two of them. I polish with Wright's Silver Cream, a silver polish I get in the housecleaning section of Walmart.

I wash the ick out of the door lines etc with a toothbrush under warm running water. Plan on doing this at least twice, as it seems you always miss some, no matter how careful you are or how hard you try.

First off, the Vette is looking great! Looking forward to see it finished soon...

I like to use these small "floss sticks"... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50pcs-Floss-Sticks-Tooth-Flossing-Head-Hygiene-Dental-Plastic-Interdental-Brush-Toothpick/32757629526.html

I wet one of those with a drop of water, then push it into the panel line to be cleaned and pull it along the line. Works pretty well and you don't have to use a real toothbrush which is actually much too big for the job...

Maybe this will help? Works fine for me.
