They've had nothing to do with them since September 2017, I'm not sure where Gravity in the U.S are getting their supplies, but they certainly are not from Gravity Colours in Spain.

It had been a long before the divorce while since Gravity here got anything from Spain. The divorce pre-dates Mate's inability to fill orders without threatening him with PayPal. I can't say I blame the guy in Spain for using Mate's issues against him to promote his own sales, but at the same time it's been nearly two years (went back and looked at some old posts) since it all happened. It's sort of like when divorced parents still speak ill of each other.

I recently received an order from Gravity Colors USA after about 5 weeks.  I didn't initially receive any answers to my emails, and after researching other customers having problems, filed a dispute with paypal which got prompt response from Matt (I think that is his name).  He stated he was far behind on orders and intimated that I never had problems with his service before.  I agreed with him that he has always been good to me in the past but I added that, with the revelation of the split with the Spanish Co. and recent complaints, I didn't know what his status was.  I did ask him to contact me outside of paypal so he can let me know what his future plans were.  I have not heard as of this writing but I did promptly receive my order as he promised.

Just called today after placing an order a couple weeks ago and not seeing any movement. I spoke directly with someone. We'll see how this goes, but I'm doubtful.

Sad to find this thread.  I placed an order about 3 weeks ago.  Sent an inquiry about a week ago and no response so far.

Call them. Middle of the day... if you get a machine, hang up and try again. When you get a human (Mate/Matt? I suspect a one-man-show) you will get your order in no time. I got mine 3 days after I spoke to him and that was with the cancellation of mail due to "polar vortex" .    I'm glad he came through but I'm hesitant to order more.

Edit: Just noticed where you are...maybe calling doesn't work for you.

Just called and talked to him.   He said it will ship today and will provide a tracking number as soon as it ships.

Thanks for the heads up!

Geoff, it would be very easy to get his supplies.  He could get a third party to order for him or he could even setup a shell company.  It would be very difficult for a small company in Spain to track this activity.

Gravity U.S. has their paint made by BASF, the Spanish side uses locally sourced paint in Spain. That was part of the reason why the two sides split in the first place the local Spain-based paint wasn't being properly color matched or using the finer based metallic that Gravity U.S. (and then Splash) use which give an "in scale" flake that Gravity Europe and Zero Paints lack.

I  have not  yet tried  the  Zero Paint   clear and   Cobra Guardsman  Blue   that i have purchased.  How  does  Gravity  Paint  compare  to Zero Paint ?    quality of finished product.   i do like  the  use of finer based metallics for a more realistic  look.  Has anyone tried both?

Wrong !! Gravity in Spain uses the Lechler paint system, which are Italian.

Shouldn't be any difference, they both use the Lechler system to mix there paints

Well there was a point in time where things went completely sideways between the two and part of that deal was the paint that was being used and where it was being sourced from.  It's over two years in the past now, but people who bought the same color paints from both sides of the Atlantic were getting drastically different shades and colors of paint.  That was when the glass bottles weren't rupturing in the Postal System because of a lack of proper packaging.  There was feuding between the two over what colors to add to the overall line, and to this day there are a number of colors you can only get (after begging, borrowing and beating with Paypal granted) from the U.S. side.

Mate deserves every sling and arrow headed his way for his "customer service", but for Gravity in Spain to dance around acting like the aggrieved party who did nothing wrong and has no responsibility in their divorce is hilarious.
