Kruzn Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Found this one while digging through some old kits. I acquired it a long time ago as a glue bomb and had started remaking it as a lead sled custom. Top is chopped and the custom front/rear pans and headlight/taillight extensions from the original kit molded in. I think it might be time to finish this one up!
geemoney Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 i can never see enough chopped tri fives go go go
Kruzn Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 (edited) A little progress. Still more sanding and priming to go. I made the wide whites using a method I learned here on the forum. An old dog CAN learn new tricks! Edited February 16, 2019 by Kruzn
Kruzn Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Making more progress. Decided to keep this one simple and as a semi-curbside model with interior but no engine. Interior stock, painted with Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2X white primer. Kept the chassis simple as well, also painted with 2X (satin black) The body was primed with 2X grey primer, wet-sanded, then primed again with 2X white primer. Still needs a little more putty in a couple areas.
Kruzn Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Paint done, just need to let it fully cure before final assembly.
Sledsel Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I like it. You do not see a lot of customs anymore.
