I have two of the older version of the AMT 57 Chevy, the Lesney/Matchbox era kit in tan styrene, plus the more recent "Pepper Shaker" Round2 repop.

My first question is should the chrome plating for the stock engine and suspension parts be removed?

Also neither of the instruction sheets appears to give detailed color call outs for the engine components or chassis. I have the Revell Chevy Black Widow 150 Sedan, would the engine & chassis color call outs in these instructions be applicable to the Bel Air.

Thank you

For anything but a custom or (sometimes) drag racer, the chrome should go.  All Chevies were built on the same assembly line then, so the Revell 150 kit's color suggestions for individual parts will also apply to the Bel Air,

I thought they were built on all 4 Chevy assembly lines in the States for that generation, plus Oshawa Ontario for Canadian and some foreign consumption.

But, I agree anout the colors being the same.

What I meant was that they were all built on one line in any given assembly plant.  There weren't separate lines for 150/210/Bel Air.

Oh, OK. That makes sense.
