Source for a flat '71 Mustang hood?

Hi all,

 

I have the MPC '71 Mustang and I'm going to build the yellow Eleanor from the first Gone in 60 Seconds. Does anyone know of a source for a flat hood for this kit? The only place I can see that might have it is Motor City Casters, but it appears they only sell full resin kits.

Check with Kevin @ motor City  - he may sell it separate to you.  Norman from R&M of MD cast some for me about 20 years ago so I doubt he has the molds anymore.  Last resort is cut up a Johan Funny car (which is what I did) to make a master.

Strange as it sounds the JoHan 71 Mustang funny car hood is an exact fit. You have to trim it from the body but is great once cleaned up.
