SpreadAxle
Ever wonder why the steer tires on your ERTL International kits stick out so far from under the fenders? Look at the photos and you will see why that happens. I did a comparison to show just how wide the Ertl steer axle happens to be compared to other axles. The ERTL axle is noticeably longer than the 2 amt axles shown. Eventually, the modified axle will be used in a project.
Goodwrench3
I didn't think anything could be wider than the Freightliner COE steer axle. If not cut down, it ends up looking like a 4 X 4 offroad vehicle ;-)
Warren D
I wasn't really aware of the Paystar 5000 width during my Brockway build until after I had the front tires mounted and went to set the cab. I took the quick way out and added rubber fender flare extensions. If I had caught it earlier, I could have altered the inside of the wheels to bring them in a little tighter. I don't recall a problem with the Ertl Int 25XX kit but I'll have to take a look at it.
