Vince66 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Can't remember if this is a '67 '68 '69 '70 4 door not up to speed on my older Chev's. This is a resin car with great detail work separate interior, dash, tires, rims, center cap decals. Has superb chassis detail as a curbside but that's all I need it for on my train layout. Not like I really needed this what with all my big rug on the bench builds. My 2 1/72 planes in the all the rest section. Gotta go for the trifecta. Enjoy more to follow.
Tom99 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 It's an interesting model. Do post pictures when you get it finished. It is a 1967 Chevrolet Impala. Where did you find it, I would like to get and build one.
Vince66 Posted March 14, 2019 Author Posted March 14, 2019 Fleabay a seller by the name of 1qwiknova or 1quicknova. Dealt with him for moons great guy Still has a little variety left as he doesn't sell all the time.
Snake45 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Pretty cool and yes, it's a '67. Probably a nod to Supernatural. Reminds me I need to dig out that Supernatural diecast I bought about a year ago and try to fix the windows on it. If you paint it dark metallic green, it would look a LOT like my parents' '68.
Vince66 Posted March 14, 2019 Author Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) Thanks gang. @Snake45 Was your parents car overall dark metallic green or had another color, roof ?. Do you remember what color the interior was. I know a lot of questions but paint is an open subject on this car. Edited March 14, 2019 by NothingAsFineAsaW9

A similar color should have been available in '67. I think the interior was some sort of medium green, but don't remember that well. They didn't have it long--less than a year before it was totaled in an extremely freak accident. It was replaced with a white '69 with green vinyl top and green interior.

I think that might be cast from the Greenlight 1/87 diecast of the licensed Supernatural Impala

Vince66 Posted March 15, 2019 Author Posted March 15, 2019 Nope true 1/87 scale greenlight is 1/64 big difference on size.
